Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
